Accessibility

The Ellis County Sheriff's Office wants everyone to be able to use this service, including people using a screen reader, keyboard navigation, or a magnified display.

What we have done

• Every form field has a visible, associated label.
• Text meets WCAG 2.1 AA contrast against its background.
• The whole service works by keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
• The registration form works without JavaScript; adding several animals at once is the only feature that needs it.
• Pages reflow to a phone screen without horizontal scrolling.

Where we know we fall short

• A Spanish version of these pages is not yet available.
• This service has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility tester.
